What Everfound collects when you run a free audit or buy a plan on this site, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.
Last updated September 30, 2026
What we collect
Only what the free audit and your setup need to work:
- The email address you enter to unlock or receive an audit report.
- The business name, city, trade, and website you search for.
- A short-lived, hashed form of your network address, used only to limit how many audits one connection can run. We never store the address itself.
- A cookie that remembers you verified your email, for up to 30 days.
- If you buy a plan: your business name, website, city, email and plan from checkout, which setup taps you have done and when, who logs into your website and, if you give us one, your web person's name and email so we can ask them for access, plus a short note from our team, kept to run your setup.
To build a report, the audit reads public information about the business, such as its Google listing, its reviews, and its website. From reviews we keep only the star rating, the date, and whether the owner replied. We don't store reviewers' names, review text, or photos.
Why we collect it
- To run your audit and email you the link to your report.
- If you buy a plan, to run your setup and show your setup page.
- To stop abuse, such as bots or one connection running too many audits.
- To let Marcus from Everfound follow up once, personally, about your audit. No newsletter, no calls.
We don't sell your information.
How long we keep it
- Unverified emails and queued audit requests
- 7 days
- Responses from our data providers
- 30 days
- Verified emails and their reports
- 24 months after the report was last opened
- Hashed network addresses
- A few hours
- Setup details for a plan
- Until you ask us to delete them
A queued request is also deleted as soon as we run the audit it asked for.
Who processes it
A few service providers handle this information for us, only to run the audit and your plan:
- An email provider, which sends your audit and setup links.
- A database host, which stores audits and the information above.
- A licensed search and maps data vendor, which receives the business name, city, and trade you search for.
- A website-crawl service, which receives the website address of the business being audited.
- Our hosting and bot-check platform, which serves this site and checks that audit requests come from a person.
- If you buy a plan: the services that run your Google listing and your blog, which receive your business name, email address and website, and the access you give them during setup, to do that work and email you approvals and reports.
Payments on Everfound plans are handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us.
Your choices
- To delete your email and the audit and setup records we keep for it, email hello@everfound.co. Any report your email unlocked locks again.
- If a customer named you as their web person, email hello@everfound.co and we remove your name and address and stop writing to you.
- Own a business we audited? Email hello@everfound.co to have its report removed or re-checked.
- You can clear our cookie in your browser at any time. You'll just need to verify your email again to reopen your fixes.
We honor every request within 30 days.
Payment records stay with Stripe.
